The Children and Young People’s Services Department of the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and qualified Outdoor Education Worker at The Oaklands Outdoor Education Centre, North Wales. The post is a part time, permanent. The successful candidate will work 43 weeks each year (end of January – end November), and an average 0.7 week. We are seeking to employ someone who has experience of delivering high quality Outdoor Education programmes for young people and adults.
The minimum qualification requirements are:
- Summer Mountain Leader Award
- SPA
- BCU Level 2 Coach or UKCC Level 1 with 4 star
- Clean Driving Licence with D1 +E entitlements
- First Aid Qualification
Evening work and the occasional camp will be a requirement of this post, also the requirement to direct courses and assume responsibilities for a curriculum area.
Holidays 30 days per year (17.3 days pro rata) plus 8 days bank holiday (4.6 days pro rata)
