This 3 day training course will cover the Level 2 syllabus as outlined in the BCA handbook, together with the new Tyrolean for Groups module and SRT for leader training. For more details about the course check out the BCA website (click here).
Candidates should be proficient at both ascending and descending a rope to get the greatest benefit from this courses. Candidates must also have attended a level 1 training course prior to attending the level 2 training.
During the course candidates will look at rigging and managing traverse, abseil, ladder and tyrolean for both group and personal progression in vertical cave and/or mine systems.
Candidates should provide their own personal protective equipment for the course, including appropriate helmet and light, harness and cows tails (made up of good quality dynamic rope). SRT kits, and replacement rope for cows tails will be available to hire/purchase during the course, but please get in touch in advance so I can get these for you.
All transport and rigging equipment (ropes etc.) will be provided during your course, you will need to bring along your own lunch and drinks. Bed and Breakfast is available for an additional cost of £20.
Course will start at 9:30am on day one, finishing around 5:30pm, with the following days starting at 9am and finishing at 5pm.
